What is Community After Hours?

Community After hours is an emergency call centre service offered by BCS Strata Management to its clients, where trained staff answer emergency repair calls. The service can assist you with all after hours emergency issues affecting common property in BCS client properties in New South Wales.

For emergency after hours repairs affecting common property in your building please call:

One of our experienced Community After Hours emergency staff will answer your call and arrange a qualified contractor to visit your building,
if deemed necessary.

There is NO fee to call this service. BCS Strata Management provides you access to our after hours call centre, as part of our comprehensive strata management services. All contractors used by Community After Hours emergency service are listed on the Community Select database of registered, insured contractors. All work on common property carried out by contractors assigned by Community After Hours emergency will be invoiced directly to your Owners Corporation.

Benefits using Community After Hours:

  • Hours of operation: 5pm – 8.30am Monday to Friday
  • 24 Hours a day on weekends and public holidays
  • A free to call service for common property issues
  • Potential call out cost savings where Community After Hours Emergency staff are able to advise on temporary measures to rectify issues until standard working hours
  • Community After Hours Emergency staff have access to all of your property details, and are generally able to identify if there are already works being undertaken,  thus preventing unnecessary after hours callouts
  • Greater capacity for your BCS Manager to track service works on buildings, identify recurring maintenance issues that can be proactively addressed and alleviate unnecessary future call outs
  • Increased ability to ensure minimum standards of service delivery in regard to response times from contractors, charges, etc, through exclusive use of Community Select registered contractors
  • Improved committee access to updates regarding after hours contractor call outs
  • Improved tracking of any works undertaken, including work orders and invoicing.

How Community After Hours operates:

Experienced Community After Hours Emergency staff will aim to assess whether the issue is common property or lot owner property, ascertain how critical the problem is, and either offer a temporary solution or arrange (where available) a Community Select registered, fully insured contractor to attend the property

The contractors will attend the site, rectify and/or make safe the issue and will liaise with your BCS Strata Manager if further work is required.

  • Free to call as part of comprehensive strata management services
  • Contractor fees for common property issues are additional and will be billed independently
  • At no extra cost Community After Hours can also help to resolve maintenance issue for lot owners at their expense.
